Oh, you thought the coquette hair ribbon trend was on its way out? Pshaw. It’s never really been unfashionable to wear a bow in your hair; it’s just been extra-super-trendy for the last year or two. And while some fads hit their expiration dates around that point, it’s clear that celebrities and their stylists are still loving the look. In fact, Zoe Saldaña decided to ramp it up to a new level at a special event this week.
The Oscar nominee attended the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Wednesday, February 12, where she was honored with the American Riviera Award. She wore an elegant, black sequinned Thom Browne dress of which we can get an unobstructed view from the front thanks to her hair being styled back into a sleek braid. But from behind, that braid steals all of the attention away from her long gown.
Stylist Mara Roszak prepped the Emilia Pérez star’s hair with her brand Rōz’s Santa Lucia Styling Oil, sweeping it into a high-set braid with a flawlessly smooth, middle-parted base. The classic, super-long plait was just as polished.
