Vintage Home Finds, Vol. 9

Carly (The Stripe’s Creative Projects Manager) has an incredible knack for sourcing gorgeous, well-priced items for the home. After ten editions of Amazon Home Finds, we’ve decided to shift to share some vintage and small business finds. I continue to be blown away by her discoveries. If you missed it, you can read volumes one, twothreefourfivesix, seven, and eight right this way!

Vintage Home Finds, Vol. 9

We’ve both had gifting on the brain. Over on Substack, we’ve released our first six guides (so definitely pop over if you haven’t! However, when I reflect on some of the best gifts I’ve received, they are often older treasures. I collect antique perfume bottles, and my mom always finds me the most beautiful Art Deco-style bottles. Carly got me a stunning abalone pitcher for Christmas last year. A girlfriend gave me a matchbox in my family’s silver (Repoussé) pattern. In the spirit of that, I asked Carly to make today’s finds a mini gift guide, and I love what she found. I know I’d love to add this mirror and box to my vanity, and how cool are these tulip candlesticks!?

from Carly:

Gift giving in the form of vintage finds is most definitely my love language. It tells the receiver that you are thinking of them always, that you see them in the littlest things that you come across, and that you know them so well that even a 50 year old bud vase can scream “that’s so you!” Coincidentally, when Grace asked me to focus on gifts for this roundup I already had a handful saved for my loved ones. The ones that specifically caught my eye: this fish bottle opener, this cat letter opener, and this catchall tray to name a few!
