The gentle and wholesome romantic comedy follows Lara Jean Song Covey’s idealistic and sometimes pushy younger sister Kitty (Anna Cathcart) to Seoul, where she attends an international school to learn more about her late mother, pursue love and reconnect with her Korean roots to connect. But by the end of her first semester (and first season), Kitty has broken up with her cute boyfriend, realized she’s bisexual after developing feelings for a boyfriend (who isn’t single), and dumped her ex’s best friend confesses his feelings for her and is expelled from school for breaking too many rules. But Kitty finds her way back for a second semester, ready to escape the drama, enjoy the single life — while also exploring her sexuality — and refocus on her mother’s past. Let’s just say that two of these things are easier to achieve than the third. Plus, Noah Centineo makes a special appearance, reprising the role of Peter Kavinsky, which is feel-good news.
