Yes, it’s been a minute since I checked The best body workouts for weight loss, especially now in 2023when SO MANY new programs have been added to the Beachbody platform (now called BODi).
So in this blog post I will discuss the best Beachbody workouts (BODi) for weight loss in 2023 based on the “oldies but goodies” and the “newest and greatest”.
But first… Let’s clarify something…
Beachbody is to losing weight like books are to reading
This means that even if you have access to the best books in the world (which you do), you won’t read any of them if you don’t put in the time and commitment to do so. This also applies to Beachbody or any other fitness platform. Beachbody does get results – but only if you do the work.
Okay, stop the rant. Let’s get into it.
The Best Beachbody Workouts in 2023 (Ranked)
21 Day Fix Extreme – Original or BODi Super Block
If you are looking for a workout program that will help you lose weight and give you a toned look, 21 Day Fix Extreme is a great choice. This program is challenging, but the workouts only last 30 minutes. The program also includes the famous 21-Day Fixed Portion meal plan, now called Portion Fix. I’ll be honest and say that I think this plan is too low in calories, but I’ll leave it up to you to decide what’s best for you.
The original 21 Day Fix Extreme launched in 2018 and was an instant success, and for good reason. It is one of my favorites for weight loss. Undoubtedly, if you want to get the best results, start here. It is available free with the BODi annual membership.
21 Day Fix Super Block
If you’re new to Super Blocks, it’s basically a remix of the most popular programs on Beachbody. Therefore, it is no surprise that they have developed a new version of this killer workout. This is NOT the extreme version, but you will still get amazing results.
The 21 Day Fix Super Block is still 30-minute weights and cardio workouts, but the moves are new and based on the latest sports science. This is an updated feature. So if you have the BODi annual membership, you can purchase it for an additional $29. If you don’t have a BODi membership, you’ll need to purchase it first.

Barre Blend – Original or Super Block
It should come as no surprise that Barre Blend is on my top list of Beachbody weight loss workouts for 2023 – because it’s my current favorite. I love Barre Blend because it’s the perfect mix of strength and cardio training as well as flexibility and mobility training.
I’ve had epic results with Barre Blend (the original version) and am about to move into the Barre Blend Super Block. Like the Super Block mentioned above, this is an entirely new series of workouts created by super trainer Elise Joan. I love her workout style – both her barre workouts and her yoga strength workouts, which are available for free on BODi.
The cost of the Barre Blend Super Block is $29 and the regional program is available free as part of the BODi annual membership.

Chop wood, carry water
Yes, if you’re into hard training – then this model gets the Choice Award 2023. Amoila Cesar keeps it coming with his epic workout programs, but they’re not for the newbies or the faint of heart. This latest program is special because it’s a mix of functional training and weightlifting, so it’s a little different from his typical style.
You’ll notice significantly more flexibility with these workouts, designed to train you for everyday tasks (hence the name “Chop Wood Carry Water”).
This workout is actually a lot more fun than his previous workouts, which are harder. You also have the option to choose between a training plan of 4, 5 or 6 days per week. So if you’re pressed for time, there are still great options for you.
At the moment it is a premium workout, so there is an additional cost of $49 on top of the annual membership. However, if you persevere, this training will be available for free at some point in the BODi annual membership. Unlike Super Blocks which will always be an upgrade.

Best Beachbody Workouts for Beginners?
The best Beachbody workouts for beginners across the program include 21 Day Fix, PiYo, and Yoga. These programs are designed to be low impact and easy to follow, making them a great choice for people new to exercise.
However, since BODi now offers more individual, 30-minute workouts that are recorded live, you don’t even have to follow a specific workout if you don’t want to. You can choose anything that looks interesting by simply selecting the workout style you prefer or browse all individual workouts based on your favorite trainer.
My best advice for beginners is to start with something that feels good and that you enjoy. This helps with consistency, which then leads to results.
Remember what I said before: Beachbody is to weight loss as books are to reading. You must first commit to doing the work. Once you master this, the results will come no matter what program you choose.
