Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez just announced not one, not two, but three exciting new eye makeup launches. Well, technically Perfect Strokes Universal Volumizing Mascara ($24) and Perfect Strokes Matte Liquid Liner ($22) aren’t new, but the brand has just expanded both to include an everyday (and on-trend) shade of brown. The crown jewel of the announcement, though, is brand-new: Rare Beauty’s Essential Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette ($30), an eight-shade palette of peaches, coppers, browns, pinks and taupes. Together, the trio is officially being hailed as the Neutral Eye Collection.
“The Essential Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette, Perfect Strokes Universal Volumizing Mascara in Brown and Perfect Strokes Matte Liquid Liner in Brown build effortlessly to deliver depth and definition at every layer,” says the brand, which describes the collection as featuring “rich hues and stunning finishes made to pair seamlessly.” The Neutral Eye Collection launches March 1 exclusively on RareBeauty.com and Ulta.com, but if you have the Ulta app, you can shop it a day early, Saturday, February 28.
Across both her personal Instagram and Rare Beauty’s IG, Gomez couldn’t contain her excitement about the new collection, and immediately set out to show her millions of followers exactly how she’s using the Essential Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette. “I’ve been dying to do an eyeshadow palette that’s basically all the colors I use,” Gomez starts. “These are all of my favorite colors that I basically use daily, a lot of red carpets.”
Gomez first calls out the Pastel Peach and Caramel Crème shades, which she liked to blend together before applying them to the crease of her eyelid. “I just love the payoff, and then you can add whatever shade you want to deepen it,”Gomez explains, before applying a dark brown shade to the outside corner of her lower lash line for a “smokier” look. “This is going to be so much fun for you guys to play with, and I can’t wait to see what you guys come up with,” Gomez ends the video, beaming.
