When I came across REFY Beauty, I was instantly intrigued. The brand was founded in 2020 by Jess Hunt and Jenna Meek. All of their imagery shows dewy, minimal, effortless-looking makeup. Their approach felt both aspirational (beautiful models) but still accessible, like something I could maybe achieve on my own without spending a lot of time and effort. I liked their simplified, pared-down approach. I also liked that the products are always vegan, cruelty-free, and fragrance-free. The brand is Leaping Bunny Certified, and all products are developed to suit all skin tones and types.
I ordered five products a few months back and have spent quite a bit of time testing them out. Today, I’m sharing my thoughts on what’s worth it (and what isn’t!)
Refy Beauty Products
Brow Sculpt Shaping and Lifting Gel
Brow Sculpt is my favorite product from the brand. If you like big, fluffy brows, this will be your best friend. It does what it says it will: lifting and sculpting, with all-day hold. It doesn’t fill them in, but it somehow makes them look bigger, almost as if you’d had them laminated. It’s waterproof, too. I was very impressed by this product.
Glow and Sculpt Face Serum Primer with Niacinamide
I love love love this primer. It’s my favorite after the brow sculpt. It provides such a smooth base for your makeup, but you can also wear it sans makeup for glowy, luminous skin. It gives you that sort of dewy, model-off-duty skin. I love the roller application, too, a nice way to give your skin a little massage.
Lip Gloss with Hyaluronic Acid
This lip gloss is my other favorite of what I tried. I went with Rosewood, the perfect pinky nude. It’s just a nice, tinted gloss that isn’t sticky or tacky. The formula is super nourishing, and I love anything with hyaluronic acid; it is a powerful ingredient for plumping and hydration.
Lip Buff Prep Scrub
I wanted to love this exfoliant as it seemed like such a smart idea, but I’d say that you can probably skip it. The formula didn’t do much, and the scrubby applicator hurt my lips. I didn’t like this at all.
Lip Blush
Of everything I tried, the Lip Blush was my least favorite. I chose Bloom, a cool light pink. Part of the problem was that I think the color was a little too light for my lips, but when you compare this product to Violette’s Bisou Balm (and consider that the price points are very similar), this just didn’t do it for me. There are too many (much better) similar products out there, providing that sheer matte type of look.
