Ayodele Drum and Dance, Chicago Dance Crash, Chicago Mexican Folkloric Dance Company, Hiplet NEXT, MOMENTA Dance Company, Natya Dance Theatre, Praize Productions, Inc. and Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater are kicking up their heels — literally — for Chicago Dance Month with a Kickoff Celebration (May 31) on Navy Pier.
Now in its 12th year, the month-long celebration presented by See Chicago Dance, Navy Pier and Night Out in the Parks features 14 events with more than 30 artists and companies including Bollywood Culture and Groove (June 4), Movement Revolution Dance Crew (June 4), Traffic Jam Swing (June 11), Clinard Dance’s Flamenco Project and Niko8 (June 14), Chicago Tap Theatre and Yielded Vessels (June 21), and Bodies of Water (June 24).
