Pandora appoints Philippa Newman as chief product officer


Pandora has announced the appointment of Philippa Newman as chief product officer (CPO), effective 9 March 2026. 

Newman, a seasoned luxury fashion executive, will relocate from New York to Copenhagen to lead the jewellery group’s global product organisation, reporting directly to the recently appointed CEO, Berta de Pablos-Barbier.

Newman joins from Michael Kors (Capri Holdings), where she served as chief brand and product officer. 

Her remit at Pandora includes overseeing end-to-end product creation, from initial design and collections management to development, with a specific mandate to drive expansion into new aesthetic territories and accelerate innovation through advanced materials.

The appointment coincides with a significant executive reshuffle as the company pursues its Phoenix growth strategy. 

Newman succeeds Stephen Fairchild, who has served as CPO since 2011. Fairchild will transition into a newly created role as chief strategic creative and cultural officer, focusing on material innovation and high-level creative collaborations.

The leadership change follows a steady financial year for the group, which reported 6% organic growth in 2025. 

As part of its 2026 innovation roadmap, Pandora is also piloting an exclusive range of platinum-plated jewellery to diversify its product mix and reduce its commodity exposure to silver and gold.
