Hey-o…Laura here hoping to revitalize some of our group posts! They highlight one of the things I love most about The Mom Edit…that we have the loveliest team of helpful, fashionable peeps. So I’m hoping to draw upon that again in (monthly?) posts covering some of the things we all love.
These articles may look like anything from chatting about the beauty or skincare product(s) we swear by to actually trying on the same item (a heavier lift on that one, as you can imagine, but we will try!) Anyhoo, this team has some knowledge and I am here to help it get dropped.

Our Team’s Most-Loved Sneakers
I love seeing everyone’s take on various tips, suggestions, pieces they love, etc. and sometimes it’s extra helpful when we’re covering the same thing or at least the same topic. That leads us to today.
Our first foray back into this type of article is to cover the sneakers we are loving the most right now, our favorites, the one pair we’re actually wearing all the time. We have lots of opinions around here and lots of sneaker opinions, so we thought it would be helpful and fun to share those as we head into travel, summer, etc. Oh, and a few reader members over on our Discord weighed in, too, so we have their valued opinions. Elizabeth R. still loves her adidas Ultraboosts for working on your feet all day and Jordan 1’s for fashion reasons, but is testing out my fav pair, New Balance 327s, so keep us updated, E!

Shana’s Current Most-Worn Sneakers: Gola Elan

Why I Love Them: These sunny Golas have been such a cheery little add to my closet! Honestly, we probably should’ve titled this post, “Why We Love Yellow Sneakers” just based on how many of us are rocking them (scroll down to see!). And while Golas can be found in a ton of fun color combos, this specific colorway seems to only be available at Anthro. While I love all of my sneakers equally, I will admit that this particular pair has been in heavy rotation lately. Golas have a little more cushion than Adidas Sambas, and the inside of this pair is lined in some sort of thin terry cloth material, making them really comfortable wear (even in hot weather). Wear ’em like a neutral: with everything.

Why I Love These: Gola Elan sneakers have been my go-to ever since I first tried them in the fall. I first started with a navy pair + immediately fell in love. Aside from being comfortable (I can’t tell you how many miles I put on these shoes in NYC, Philly, San Diego…I bring them everywhere) and needing no break-in period, they stay so incredibly clean – and that’s coming from a city girl!! The gum sole looks brand new no matter how often I wear them + the suede has held up so well. This spring I took a risk and went with a lighter color, the happiest shade of yellow, and I have had no complaints. 10/10 shoe and they fit TTS. Now I’m thinking I have to get this cheetah print pair…

Why I Love These: I tried but I cannot do a Hoka sneaker. But when I was headed on my Philly trip recently I knew I needed a really comfy shoe to walk around the city in. I revisited the New Balance 327’s and I’m so glad I did. They have a nice wide toe box with lots of room and the soles are so cushiony while still being cute and not marshmallow-like. Lol. And they lasted all day for me walking there and in D.C. and my feet were so happy. They have some super chic color combos, too. I’m wearing the Sea Salt/Rust Oxide option. TTS and will be my go-to’s from now on. Again.

Why I Love These: I love these sneakers so much that I now have three pairs of them. They might just replace my Adidas Sambas as my most-worn sneakers. I love them because they are made from soft, flexible and cushiony fabric, (unlike Sambas which have a stiffer exterior that needs breaking in). They come in so many cool color combos including a fun light blue/red striped pair that Laura and I both have and love. Also, they’re well under $100, making them a more affordable sneaker option.

Why I Love These: I have a few sneakers in constant rotation right now, but these are probably my most worn purely because they match everything. After multiple years in Sambas, I didn’t actually realize until recently that, uh, adidas makes wayyyyy more comfy sneakers that are just as cool, lol. These look incredibly similar to the it-girl styles but have squishy insoles and a comfier toe box that make these wearable all day long, no matter what I’m doing.

Why I Love These: I admittedly love a more neutral sneaker (my Samba OGs and my SL 72 OGs in particular), but the bright color on these Reebok Classic AZs is completely outfit-making and so fun. Bonus points that they’re extremely comfortable (like, walkable for miles and miles comfy), and they look extra cute with shorts, which says a lot coming from someone who typically kinda avoids shorts for the most part.
(Don’t worry, if you’re the same, they’re dang cute with just about everything – dresses, jeans, linen pants…) They run a tad small – I wear an 8 and these are an 8.5. Loads of other colors, too, if sunny yellow isn’t your vibe.

Why I Love These: So…I’m typically not an Adidas gal, but if I’m being completely honest with myself about my most worn sneakers right now…they’re definitely these. I’ve been a bit of a samba-hater in the past, so I’m reluctant to admit to dipping my toes in the Adidas sporty-sneaker world. Initially, I bought them only because I needed flatter sneakers for weight lifting (my go-to On Clouds weren’t stable enough), and I did think this colorway and mesh-ish design was really cute.
Once they were by my door, though…I started wearing them for more than just weights. To dance class and out and about with jeans and a tee as well. I love the colorway with jeans and my blue bag, I like that they’re light and summery, and they’re much more comfortable than I thought they’d be. Haven’t tried them yet for all day walking the city, but have definitely walked a mile or two in them just fine. Wearing Women’s 7 – Men’s 6 (I’m typically a size 7-7.5 womens, so size down if you’re between sizes).
