Deborah D. Gordon has spent her career to align the competitive conditions for consumers in healthcare. She is a co-founder of Umbra Health Advocacy, a marketplace for patient representative services and co-director of the Alliance of Professional Health Advocates, the premiere membership organization for independent supporters. She is the author of “The Health Care Consumer’s Manifesto: How to get the most for her money” based on consumer research, which she did as a senior scholarship holder in the Mosavar Rahmani Center of Harvard Kennedy School. DEB previously spent more than two decades in management roles in healthcare, including Chief Marketing Officer for a health plan in Massachusetts and CEO of a company for health technology. DEB is a fellow of Aspen Institute Health Innovators, an Eisenhower scholarship holder and a Boston Business Journal 40-over 40 award winners. Your contributions have been published in Jama Network Open, the Harvard Business Review Blog, USA Today, Realclear Politics, The Hill and Managed Care Magazine. She received a BA in bioethics from Brown University and an MBA with award from Harvard Business School.
