L’Occitane Osmathus Apricot EDT Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] This fragrance just looks so unassuming when the fragrance is anything but. It’s exactly what I needed to smell on a cool but sunny, autumnal day when the change is in the air but summer is not forgotten.

Osmanthus has the blessing of smelling peachy-apricot in a ripe and powdery version so you’re not hit in the nose by a zing of fruit but more an emergence of notes. It’s kind of suede-ish in that it’s smooth and creamy but there’s enough of the apricot to give that kind of joyful uplift that fruit in fragrance can do. Longevity wise, it’s not bad at all – I think it gets a little sweeter and more powdery as time goes on with the apricot becoming more and more apparent.

There’s something a little peppery in the woody background but I think mostly what you’ll get from L’Occitane Osmanthus Abricot is a rich, velvet, fruity happiness that has the snuggle down effect by making your skin smell sensual and succulent under your cashmere. L’Occitane has played a blinder with this understated fragrance but I can’t get on board with the inspiration being ‘the light of the moon’. I’ll stop there because I don’t want my eyes to roll so hard they get stuck.

It’s £65 HERE for 50ml.
