KISS Acquires Chillhouse in Strategic Beauty Expansion

Chillhouse was one of New York City’s first café-spa hangouts when it launched in 2017. Beauty editors and nail aficionados alike whispered about it and flocked there after work and before cocktails. In the years since, the brand has expanded into consumer-facing press-on nails, polish and more, now sold at Target and beyond. As its footprint has grown, nail behemoth KISS Beauty Group—the parent company of KISS, Falscara and imPRESS—has stepped in to acquire the company.

Cyndi Ramirez-Fulton, Chillhouse’s founder and CEO, announced the news on Instagram on Tuesday, January 6. “I’m beyond honored to officially share our strategic partnership between Chillhouse and Kiss Beauty Group,” she wrote in a caption accompanying a screenshot of a WWD article. “A brand I’ve long admired for their pioneering work in the space we now proudly occupy & one with many parallels to our origin story (Queens born and bred, much like me).”

“This marks a monumental moment for both myself and my partner (and husband) as we enter a new chapter of growth that we’re incredibly proud to continue navigating as co-pilots,” her caption continued. “With Kiss’s guidance and operational excellence, adam and I will maintain our roles and execute on an even larger version of the mission we set out to achieve in 2017: to build the next legacy brand in nail care and beyond—one rooted in community, experience and accessibility.”

As Ramirez-Fulton implied, the deal won’t disrupt what has made Chillhouse resonate with so many in the first place. The brand will continue to run independently, with its existing leadership team, signature point of view and SoHo flagship intact.

J. Paul Yang, KISS Beauty Group’s chief strategy officer, told WWD that Chillhouse’s unique position in nail care was a major factor in the acquisition. “Chillhouse has built something truly distinctive in nail care—a brand with cultural credibility, creative design leadership and a deeply engaged consumer community,” said Yang. “Our decision to acquire the company reflects our belief in its compelling vision and in Cyndi’s leadership as we plan for 2026 and beyond.”

He continued: “This partnership allows Chillhouse to continue operating independently while benefiting from our scale, operational infrastructure and global reach. Together, we see a powerful opportunity to accelerate innovation, expand omni-channel access and help shape the future of modern nail care.”
