How I Beat Covid and You Can Too!

Over the last year and a half, the coronavirus has consumed all of our lives and, unfortunately, it appears to be far from over. It is clear that the new variants that continue to emerge are having an impact on both vaccinated and unvaccinated people. Where I live, more and more people are getting the virus, and it’s getting closer and closer to home. In fact, the virus entered my home. We were able to resolve the issue quickly and I feel compelled to share my story in the hope that it gives you the positive feeling that if the virus gets through your home, you too can fight it.

My 15 year old daughter brought Covid-19 into our home. She and her friends all got it and unintentionally passed it on to each other. One Monday my daughter felt very tired but not sick after a day at the river. When she woke up on Tuesday she felt pretty sick. She felt like there were weights on her legs and she was becoming more and more tired. I then gave her a rapid test, which was positive within 15 minutes. We tried our best to isolate her from everyone else, but I continued to serve her food and drinks, take her temperature, and give her supplements. No gloves, no mask.

Before my daughter tested positive for Covid-19, I had heard that a lot of people where I lived were getting Covid, so I started upping my immune boosters. I have spent many years learning about the immune system and the various things in nature that help strengthen the immune system. I want to share with you how we beat Covid in our home. The tools we used helped my daughter recover from the virus within three days, and none of the rest of us (my two daughters, my husband and I) contracted this “highly contagious” virus.

Boost your immune system and fight Covid with these tools

Lemon water

Every morning started with a freshly squeezed lemon in water. I would drink lemon water throughout the day, but drinking lemon water when you wake up has many additional benefits:

  • Hydration
  • Rich in vitamin C, a primary antioxidant that helps protect cells from harmful free radicals. You’ve probably heard that vitamin C can help prevent or shorten the duration of an illness.
  • Helps get your digestive system going
  • Helps maintain pH balance in the body.
  • Cleanse the body of internal waste and toxins.

Healthy eating

  • Lots of vegetables and fruit. Fermented foods like sauerkraut for gut health (your gut has a direct impact on your immune system)
  • I avoid sugar (suppresses the immune system), coffee (causes dehydration, depletes vitamin C) and dairy (produces mucus).
  • Bone Broth ~ I drank bone broth daily or added it to my soup base or when I cooked brown rice. I make bone broth weekly with medicinal root vegetables such as garlic, onions, turmeric, sweet potatoes, carrots, celery, burdock root, and ginger. Then I add my home-grown medicinal herbs such as sage, thyme, rosemary, oregano and parsley, which have antiviral properties among many other benefits. Here is a recipe to make yourself.
  • Kombucha daily ~ Kombucha can help fight off infections. It contains acetic acid, which has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties. The probiotics help improve intestinal health and immune function. To learn more about kombucha, click HERE.
  • Drink water. Lots of water throughout the day.

Supplements

I have made capsules with the following ingredients, all sourced from the earth:

We took these every day. When my daughter was on day two of her Covid illness and wasn’t feeling well, we took it twice a day.

  • Neem leaf powder ~ Similar to Ivermectin, it has antiviral and antiparasitic effects. Studies have shown that neem is an effective prevention against Covid-19 and relieves the symptoms that occur.
  • Hemp seed powder ~ Rich in zinc and magnesium, which helps prevent and relieve symptoms of Covid-19. Also rich in omegas and proteins.
  • Activated carbon ~ Absorbs and eliminates toxins in the intestines
  • Bentonite clay ~ Helps attract and eliminate toxins and heavy metals. Some animal studies show that bentonite can promote good bacteria in the gut. This helps with the absorption of nutrients.
  • Fulvic acid ~Helps reduce inflammation and combat oxidative stress. Rich in plant minerals and antioxidants. It is antiviral and a powerful immune booster.

Master Tonic ~ Apple cider vinegar based tonic with raw garlic, onions, ginger, horseradish, habanero peppers and turmeric. I swear by this immune-boosting creation. It has antiviral, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiparasitic effects and much more, which you can FIND OUT HERE.

Immune support ~Immune Support Tonic which I originally created for my children because it has a sweet taste. I also drink it because it’s full of immune-boosting, antiviral herbs like elderberry, echinacea, rooibos, rosemary, ginger, cinnamon, astragalus, and cloves.

Alkaline, structured silver water with a balanced pH value ~ Antiviral and microbial properties that help fight off viruses, strengthen the immune system and balance the body’s pH to a state where disease no longer occurs. Supports healthy digestion and cleanses the intestines naturally. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE

sunshine

Sit in the sun and enjoy at least 15 minutes of sunshine per day to ensure vitamin D levels are sufficient for a strong immune system. Vitamin D helps prevent many diseases.

Heat therapy

Heat has long been traditionally used to prevent and treat viruses. We were lucky enough to have an infrared sauna that I could go into until I was sweating (about 40 minutes). I also spent every night in our hot tub. If you don’t have either, taking a hot bath or shower is also great. Heat helps the body detoxify. For more WAYS TO DETOX CLICK HERE

Positive mindset

The fear of Covid and illnesses in general is great. While I can understand why some are afraid, I can also confirm from my own experience that fear does not have a positive impact on mental health. Tell yourself that I am healthy! I have a strong immune system that can protect me from any disease! I will defeat Covid! When you think, feel, or say positive affirmations to yourself, that is exactly what you will attract.

Good sleep

Sleep plays a big role in the immune system. Studies have shown that sleep is important for physical recovery by revving up certain components of the immune system. At least 7-9 hours of sleep to keep our immune system strong

I hope this blog helped you learn that you can build a strong immune system and beat Covid-19. I am in no way trying to minimize the loved ones that many people have lost. My intention is to encourage a different conversation that moves away from the focus of fear. Instead of spotlighting the importance of a healthy immune system and emphasizing the confidence that just like Covid came through my house and we beat it, you can too!

Take care!!
