– Raised or thick rash-like areas
– Discolored skin
– Scaly, flaky texture that sheds easily
Progression: Small bumps > growth with scaling > shedding of the upper scales > lower scales sticking together > scratching > bleeding > expansion of lesions (mild to severe)
Healthy skin is a result of balanced doshas,pure rakta dhatu,strong agni and a clear mind.
According to Ayurveda, skin problems often arise due to increased pitta and vata doshas which causes accumulation of toxins ( ama ) in blood. But psoriasis is dominant in vata and kapha doshas.

A satvik diet which is light in digestion,vegetables,old cereals,grains,and cooling foods keep it under control.
Intake of heavy sour food,milk,fish ,jaggery,tila(Sesame) should be prohibited.
