[unpaid/sample] I am loving watching Hildun rise through the beauty ranks – from a handful of kohls to a full collection, and now these two beautiful palettes. Quality wise, like the kohls, these palettes are meeting their competitors full on.
As you can see, I couldn’t even wait to take pristine pictures before I had to get swatching! This is the cooler tones palette, Mythical Romance.
I’m lucky that my tone is neutral so I can wear either palette.
And, the warmer toned palette is Naked Diamonds which is a great name. As you can see, they both feature two matte shades and two shimmers. The formulas for the colours come from Italy which, in my view, is where the highest quality eye products come from. Lots of high end brands have their products made there and while that doesn’t automatically mean that Hildun is the same quality as them, but lets just say that there are some comparisons to be made with Charlotte Tilbury and even Lisa Eldridge.
I’ve just used my finger again so you can have a good idea of the colours – I’d do a lot of blending if these were actually on my eye! The good thing about the shade choices is that you can have several different eye looks – I’ve put Celeste (from Mythical Romance) over Mulberry for the pictures – I should point out, before anyone else does, that one of my eyes looks very sleepy still – I didn’t notice til I looked at the pictures myself.
Honestly, wonky eye aside, I think that looks incredible! Even though I shot these pictures early in the morning and have since taken it all off, I’ll exactly replicate for this evening when I’m out and about.
The other thing I wanted to show you is that the colours don’t disappear under glasses. I did a lot of blending of the darker shade before topping with the shimmer – it’s not a droppy shimmer and you can see that I didn’t understand the texture until I dipped my brush in it. My advice to adding the topper is to press your brush to the pan rather than swish your brush around it like I did. The brush should hold enough to transfer well to your lid and you can also press and transfer again. I didn’t find it droppy but as with all shimmers, you might want to consider doing your eye make up before your foundation so you can do a good clean around the eye area before the rest of your make up goes on. You can find both the palette for £22 each HERE.
