You already know the right thing to do. The problem isn’t knowing what to do; it’s finding the courage to make yourself do it.
Once you recognize what this calling actually means – something greater than yourself, something existential, something non-negotiable – then acting on it stops being optional.
The Full Moon in Aries on September 26th might be exactly what hands us the understanding and courage to finally do it.
Conjunct Neptune to the degree, at the apex of a Kite that funnels all that outer-planet energy into Aries, the Full Moon becomes the point where that transpersonal, existential pull has to become personal – has to become a choice, an action, a move.
And this is where Aries energy on this particular Full Moon gets interesting.
Aries normally operates on “my terms.” It is the first sign of the zodiac: self-referential, concerned with preservation, autonomy, and the right to act in its own best interest.
But the exact conjunction to Neptune – and I don’t recall having a Full Moon THAT tightly conjunct Neptune – takes us much deeper than that Aries self-preservation-driven action.
From my terms to soul’s terms.
Something so deep, so fundamental about who we are, that it becomes an existential mandate.
It’s not just about us and what we want – it’s the recognition that honoring the real us is honoring the entire world.
This energy is as close as it gets to the famous Rumi quote: “You are not the drop in the ocean, you are the entire ocean in the drop”.
The quote holds both Neptune’s ocean of oneness and interconnectedness – and Aries’ particularity – the drop that still has to move, still has to act as if it were the only thing that mattered.
The Full Moon in Aries conjunct Neptune is not even about following our dreams – because following our dreams can still sound a little bit self-centered. It is about doing what our soul requires of us.
It’s an evolutionary mandate. It’s what our life, and the world, can no longer bear to leave undone.
It’s what needs doing – not (just) for our own sake – for the world’s sake, for the people around us sake, for the type of role-modeling and breaking-the-cycle example we are offering to our children, to our communities, to those who are inevitably impacted by our existence.
What is it?
What’s that underlying thing, that deep soul craving, what you always wanted but never went for – perhaps because you never quite believed you could have it, because you had no template for what it would mean to exist – that you need to go for now?
Go for it.
Because the sky will never align in the same way again. We will never have such a Neptune-infused Full Moon in Aries, not at the apex of a Kite, not with all the supporting aspects from the outer planets and to its own ruler, Mars (now in mutual reception in Cancer).
Choose it. Whatever that thing is. It might not have to be anything concrete. It might be a soul choice you make, a decision, a step forward…
… not what society has been telling you to want from the time you were born
… not what your family dynamics have been passing down to you in an unconscious loop
Something on your soul’s terms.
It doesn’t have to be something you choose at the expense of others. Quite the contrary. We are in the Libra solar season – and Libra is relationship-oriented.
But Aries is that much-needed polarity that makes this whole Libran relationship thing really work.
Because if everyone engages with life from the other person’s perspective – “I’ll wait to see what they say or do” – then everyone will end up in a state of limbo where we’re waiting, and waiting, and nothing gets ignited; nothing happens.
The Full Moon in Aries is a reminder that if we do want to experience life in its fullness, at some point we have to be the one who makes the first step.
