Demi Moore Returns to Her Signature Long Hair

Just weeks after debuting a dramatic bob at Milan Fashion Week, Demi Moore returned to her signature ultra-long hair on the red carpet at the 98th Academy Awards.

The actress arrived in a custom feathered Gucci gown, pairing the statement-making silhouette with a sleek, glossy blowout created by celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos. The look—complete with Moore’s iconic center part and softly bouncy ends—felt like a classic red-carpet moment for the star, whose waist-length brunette hair has long been one of her most recognizable beauty signatures.

The Oscars appearance comes shortly after Moore made waves at the Gucci show during Milan Fashion Week, where she surprised fans with a dramatic chin-length bob styled in a slick, wet-look finish. The bold cut, crafted by Giannetos and dubbed the “Demi-tris Bob,” was designed to complement the sharp silhouettes of the collection and marked one of the shortest styles the actress has worn in decades.

While the fashion week moment proved Moore can pull off just about any hairstyle, the Oscars marked a return to the polished, high-shine lengths she’s known for.

“The dress has such an incredible shape, so I wanted to complement it with an iconic Demi Moore blowout—extra glossy and shiny with a nice, soft bounce at the ends and an iconic middle part,” Giannetos shares.

In the kit: “I used Kérastase Chronologiste Thermique Régénérant Heat Protecting Cream ($58) for this look because it protects the hair from heat while adding incredible shine and smoothness. It’s a must-have in my kit to help create that shiny, sleek red carpet finish,” says Giannetos.
