In today’s edition of “Things Grace bought because of an Instagram advertisement” (this isn’t a real column, but maybe it should be), we have Cyklar. Ads for this glycolic acid body spray were following me around everywhere, promising to give me “dolphin skin.”
“Dolphin skin” as a term has also been following me around. It’s meant to emphasize smooth, glowing, plump skin. I get it, dolphins do look so sleek and smooth, but if you’ve ever pet a dolphin, you know their skin is quite rubbery and a little bit bumpy. Not exactly #goals. Dolphins don’t have sweat glands, and they shed their skin every two hours to prevent barnacles and mussels from attaching to them and slowing them down. Knowing that, I don’t really want dolphin skin.
That being said, this body spray is great. I’ll get out of the shower, thoroughly towel off, and mist myself all over. You can rub it in or just let it sit (it’s an ultrafine mist), and then apply body lotion after. In just a week of using it, my skin became so much smoother. It smooths and brightens the skin on your body better than any other treatment I’ve tried.
The key ingredients:
- 10% glycolic acid, a highly effective alpha hydroxy acid that exfoliates, renews, and brightens.
- Glycerin: locks in moisture
- Tripeptide: refines skin texture and hydrates
- Pomegranate enzyme: further helps with skin renewal
- Fermented black tea: smoothes and helps with radiance and tone.
I absolutely love this and would highly recommend it, especially if you struggle with rough or bumpy skin. I also picked up this vanilla body wash, which smells heavenly and gently cleanses and softens the skin with oils.
