Rings are either engraved by hand or with a laser. We opt for hand-engraving always – it’s more special and the possibilties for design are endless.
Can you engrave a ring after it’s made?
Definitely! Many couples get their rings engraved with special phrases, words, or patterns after they purchase their rings.
Can engraving affect durability?
Not at all when done properly. We work with a master engraver who ensures the structural integrity of every piece.
Can I send my own sketch or idea?
Absolutely. We accept sketches, images, and inspo pics to create something truly yours. We’ll help refine it for engraving.
Should I engrave my wedding band?
Engraving a wedding band can be a super special way to personalize a ring – whether it’s a saying, a word, an image, or a pattern, you can create a ring that symbolizes your patnership or your partner in a lasting way.
Can a jeweler engrave a ring?
Most jewelers are able to do simple engraving like words and letters and will use laser engraving. For more intricate engraving, we work with a Master Hand Engraver who carves the most complicated of art completely by hand with amazing precision and artistry. What is traditionally engraved on a wedding band?
Traditional examples of engraving on wedding bands include: you and your partner’s initials, the day you got married or the date of your first date, or a phrase from your partner. Some engravings we’ve done for Gem Breakfast couples: their partner’s favorite mountain range, each of their zodiac constellations, their favorite animal, a meaningful phrase or message, a field of their favorite wildflowers, ocean waves, and so much more can be hand engraved!
