Chaumet has launched Envol, a new High Jewellery collection for 2026 that pays tribute to the maison’s historical association with ornithological motifs.
The capsule features nine designs defined by grand feu enamel and midnight blue sapphires, drawing direct inspiration from the brand’s Belle Époque archives.
The centrepiece of the collection is a transformable aigrette tiara that required 850 hours of craftsmanship at 12 Vendôme.

The piece can be worn in four different configurations: as a traditional tiara, a pared-down V-shaped aigrette, a face-framing mask, or as individual brooches. The tiara features a 3.92-carat pear-shaped Madagascar sapphire at its centre.
A second headline piece is a dégradé blue enamel and white gold necklace featuring a 10.96-carat cushion-cut Madagascar sapphire.
This item took 650 hours to produce and includes two secret clasps, allowing the central stone and wing motifs to be removed and worn as independent brooches.
The collection references the heritage of Marie-Etienne Nitot, the firm’s founder, and the specific influence of Empress Joséphine’s bird sanctuary at the Château de Malmaison.
The designs specifically reinterpret a 1910 translucent blue enamel commission originally owned by Gertrude Payne Whitney.
To accompany the collection, Chaumet has collaborated with Maison Vermeulen, the specialist feather-working atelier, to produce personalised cases for the jewellery sets.
The company said: “The collection showcases myriad technical feats that offer multiple ways to wear them, perpetuating a long tradition prized by the Maison.
“By establishing the eagle as the emblem of his reign, Napoléon I turned wings into symbols of power and greatness. Chaumet has made wings the very embodiment of the fusion of power and elegance. The naturalistic perspective the Maison has interpreted and revisited since the 1810s continues its progression in this new line.”
