Boursin Cheese Pasta is the ultimate comfort food—rich, creamy, and packed with flavor from the iconic soft, spreadable cheese. This no-bake dish comes together in under 20 minutes, making it perfect for weeknights.
Boursin Pasta
The herb flavors from the Boursin blend seamlessly into the pasta, creating a luscious sauce with a creamy texture without the need for cream cheese and other ingredients.
After countless tastings, I’ve decided that the two favorite Boursin flavors that complement the pasta best are the garlic and fine herbs variety, as well as the shallot and garlic variety.
If you’re a Costco member, I highly recommend grabbing the 3-pack so you can make a few recipes with Boursin for less, such as Boursin Chicken or Boursin Mashed Potatoes.
Variations
Here are a few variations to consider when making this Boursin cheese pasta recipe:
Boursin Pasta With Chicken: Toss in grilled chicken for a high protein pasta recipe. Shrimp would also pair well.
Different Boursin Flavors: Try Shallot & Chive or Black Pepper Boursin for unique twists.
Vegetable Boost: Add sautéed spinach, roasted cherry tomatoes, sautéed red onion, or steamed broccoli.
Flavor Boost: throw in fresh herbs like basil or parsley.
Spicy Pasta: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce for heat.
Boursin Cheese Pasta Recipe Tips
Here are a few tips to keep in mind when making this Boursin pasta sauce:
- Reserve pasta water: It helps emulsify and thicken the sauce.
- Don’t overheat the sauce: Gentle heat prevents the dairy from separating.
- Serve immediately: The sauce thickens as it cools, so enjoy right away.
- Side dish ideas: Boursin Cheese Pasta pairs beautifully with a green salad, or garlic bread.
Wine Recommendations
A bowl of Boursin Pasta goes well with Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, or Prosecco.
