Booie Beauty Tubing Mascara Review

Booie Beauty Tubing Mascara Review

[unpaid/sample] I wrote about the Booie Beauty Blush Stick a few weeks ago (loved it). Booie Beauty is the (affordable) make up range from Australian comedian, Celeste Barber, and as you might expect, if you follow Celeste, it’s completely in keeping with both her humour and her no-nonsense approach. The brand sent me the You’re Welcome Tubular Mascara in Black and Where The Hell Is My? Lipstick in Rose to try out.

I’m a fan of tubing mascaras for eliminating the panda eye dilemma – you can go through a whirlpool in a really good tubing mascara – but this one didn’t make it into my favourites. Here’s why. It’s a very average formula – there was flaking from the get go, and as I gently rubbed my eye lashes, more formula came away from them.

The brush is a fluffy one which isn’t the best for coating lashes with tubing mascara – you need to get each and every lash and fluffy brushes tend to brush over rather than through. It didn’t really create impactful lashes – I had to apply a lot to get any signs of volume and length. I mean, I hate to say it, and mostly hate to say it because I’m such a fan of Celeste, but this mascara didn’t do it for me.

However, on the plus, Rose Lipstick Balm was charming. It’s lightly pigmented, easy to wear and pretty to look at and the fact that it is shown on an older model HERE makes me like it even more. It’s reasonably priced at £16 and because of the balmy nature of this lipstick, you will need to top up regularly. I know that postage price has been an issue and spotted on Instagram that Booie was doing a free postage offer to all regions and you’d probably want to keep an eye out for that because from memory it was around £10 delivery which isn’t reasonable for one lipstick!
