Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Somewhat surprisingly, I’ve received a set of Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks and nowhere at all on the (beautiful) presentation box does it say what’s new about what I’ve received. I think I will assume that it’s a colour extension because the only clue is the sentence, ‘available in 39 shades from August 2025’ but there’s nothing to say what I have are new or if there is anything different about them. It’s such a bland piece of communication and indicative of what happens when a founder leaves and no new leader takes their place – there is just no personality and nothing much to align yourself to.

They’re in the sunset range of colours, something that Urban Decay was doing with their Naked Heat palette pre-pandemic so it’s just all quite odd. Anyway, on the positive, a more reliable eye shadow stick you won’t find – it works better than most especially in the long-stay department. However, despite being formulated for long-stay, any eye product is dependent upon lid oil which we all produce to a greater or lesser degree. There’s a waterproofing element to the formula which seals the product to the lid but no make-up is truly, truly oil proof (it’s what we use to remove make-up) so if you know you have very oily lids either prepare to top up or avoid in the first place.

Shades from top to bottom are: Fireside, Peach Flame, Rose Haze, Hazelnut and Downtown Brown. I’ve used shade Fireside to show you – it’s the one I’m least likely to wear so I gave myself the challenge. However, if you have blue eyes, you can bet that they will look the most intense you’ve ever seen them – this kind of ember-orange shade is so stunning on all eyes but blue eyes just glow on another level. I’d recommend a brown mascara and liner to wear with it to get the full smoulder.

On me, the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks last the day – more or less – I like the more neutral shades for the evening out of skin tone on my lids to give them a perfected, blended look. Peach Flame is very brightening with a bit of shimmer – a nice thing to have in your holiday bag for golden hour. They’re £29.50 HERE.
