Best of Baths – The Stripe


If you did not know, I am a total bathing junkie: bath time is my favorite. I probably take a bath at least 3 or 4 times a week. For me, bathing is not about getting clean; it’s about relaxing and unwinding. I don’t have a fancy tub (my house is pretty small, so it would be hard to put one in), but I dream of having a bigger tub one day. For now, I’m happy with my little tub and all of the delightful salts and oils. It’s been a while since I’ve done a roundup of favorite baths, so I wanted to give you an update. There are certain things that are evergreen. The HigherDose Seratonin soak, Susanne Kaufmann’s bath oil, Kate McLeod’s eucalyptus pebbles: I restock these constantly so I’m never without.

The Dr. Singha mustard soak is essential if I feel like I am getting sick; magnesium flakes are a must if my muscles feel sore… but otherwise, I like to kind of “cocktail” my bath with at least three different things! Usually, I do something hydrating (an oil or the pebbles), plus some salts or magnesium flakes. Maybe a little essential oil if I am feeling really wild and crazy. Below are my personal favorites.
