Easy Baked Pork Chops Recipe

These Oven Baked Mississippi Pork Chops are a flavor-packed dinner that’s hard to resist! Tender pork chops seasoned with au just gravy, ranch seasoning, pepperoncini pepper, and butter. As the pork chops bake, the seasonings and butter create a mouthwatering sauce that’s so good, you’ll want to drizzle it over everything on your plate. This dish is simple yet incredibly satisfying—a comforting meal that’s as easy to make as it is delicious to eat.

How to Make Mississippi Pork Chops

This recipe is effortless to make with only five simple ingredients. Pat the boneless pork chops dry with paper towels and place in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the pork chops with au jus gravy mix and ranch seasoning on both sides. Top the pork chops with pepperoncini peppers and butter. Bake uncovered in a preheated oven until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145ºF.

Tips for Cooking Pork

  • I use seven boneless pork loin chops that weigh about 2-pounds.
    • If you use bone-in pork chops, you will need to increase the cooking time until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145ºF.
  • I keep it simple and don’t sear the chops on the stove. If you want to sear the pork chops, heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and cook the pork chops for 1-2 minutes per side or until they start to turn golden brown.
  • Can Pork be pink? Yes! Do NOT overcook your pork chops. Most people tend to overcook pork chops and dry them out.
    • Make sure and have an instant-read thermometer handy. Pork cuts like tenderloin and chops should always be cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F no matter what cooking technique you use! They’re safe to eat with a blush of pink. Ground pork should be cooked to 160°F.
