Adventures in Winter Skin

Our winter has been a bit more… extreme than usual. When we have snow, it is colder, the wind is faster, everything is a bitter, penetrating cold. Which is really difficult on my skin. I’ve found that as I get older (I’m a tad perimenopausal now) that my skin simply does not do as well in the winter. I previously was able to just occasionally use a sugar scrub in the shower and all of my dry, itchy winter skin issues were solved! If only it was still so easy… I admit that a few months ago I was frustrated with winter skin after the first snow. I was dry, and itchy. My skin felt like it had a layer of dead skin over it, like a sunburn waiting to peel. My usual response to this situation, the ever popular sugar scrub, was not cutting it. I made a big order of items from Sephora to try out some alternatives, and here’s what is working the best for me. When ordering, make sure you’re signed up for Beauty Insider to earn points, I love to use those for things like deluxe sample size products in the Rewards Bazaar as well…
