LA finally cooled down enough that I was able to break out one of my favorite autumn trends: lederhosen. I’ve always loved the look of lederhosen and I bring new styles to my wardrobe every year. My recent additions are paper bag leather waist pants and leather gaiters in new colors. I’ve gotten really interested in neutrals lately, so I designed both in a black and brown color palette to introduce them to the world:
Cardigan: Aqua I Pants: Lyssé I Cami: Aqua I Belt: Gucci I Earrings: Gorjana I Bag: Talbots I Ankle boots: Mavette I Face mask: Sydne Summer I Mask necklace: Sydne Summer
Leather gaiters come back in fashion every year. And it’s not surprising since they are so versatile! I’ve made tons of outfit posts in leather leggings. This season, I took my inspiration from my brown corduroy face mask and added camel leather leggings to the mix. I love the idea of one color leather leggings because you can easily wear them with neutral colors that you already have in your closet.
A little trick if you’re not comfortable with your hips or your booty in leather leggings: add a long cardigan! It still allows you to show your waistline while you slim down your lower half.

A few years ago I had a pair of leather pants with a paper bag that I loved so much that I had to get them in black too. A paper pocket waist is especially good if you have an hourglass or pear shape. It contracts the waist and is more spacious in the hips. I usually wear mine with more fitted tops and sweaters. It’s still not too cold in LA, so I wore a sleeveless turtleneck. But a long sleeve sweater works just as well.
I hope these fall outfits inspired you with some rock-style lederhosen ideas. My favorite section? Once you find couples you love, you can wear them for years.
